We’re sure that during the Olympics, many, if not all athletes were motivated to get a gold medal not only as a means to prove their worth and abilities, but because it was also a matter of country pride and we’re sure that there were some incentives offered by their governments for every gold medal they brought home.
Well it looks like the folks at RIM South Africa, or to be more specific the Managing Director of RIM in South Africa, Alexandra Zagury, decided to award some of South Africa’s Olympic gold medalists with gold Blackberry Bold 9900s. Based on the photo above, these gold edition 9900s were tastefully done and not gaudy, unlike other gold plated devices we’ve come across. Given that these gifts are rather significant, we doubt you’ll be seeing them on eBay anytime soon.
