Verizon Wireless subscribers have yet another Samsung smartphone on the cards – although the Samsung Stellar will not be any kind of high end device that folks would want to clamor after. Arriving on Verizon in a couple of days’ time, it will cost $50 a pop prior to a $50 mail-in rebate on a 2-year contract. Underneath the hood, you will find that the Samsung Stellar features a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as the operating system of choice, LTE connectivity support, a 4” WVGA display, and a 1.3-megapixel camera in front with a 3.2-megapixel shooter at the back, which are rather modest by today’s standards. Other hardware specifications include Wi-Fi connectivity and a microSD memory card slot. Ah well, at least this could very well be one of the cheapest (free after all with a mail-in rebate) LTE smartphone you can find at the moment. [Press Release]
