B&O PLAY has just announced their newest active speaker system to hit the audiophile market, and we are referring to the BeoPlay A9 here which will integrate an all-star line-up of dedicated components while carrying the signature provocative design that is often associated with Bang & Olufsen’s name. The BeoPlay A9 was specially concocted to deliver a complete sound solution which is easy to listen to, without being an eyesore in your living room (or wherever you decide to place it). Just what will the BeoPlay A9 come with?

Well, we are looking at a 2.1 bass reflex loudspeaker system which will merge a total of five dedicated speaker units and amps in a timeless design, recreating a complete sound solution. You will also find a fine-tuned DSP (digital signal processor) algorithm which will make your current music collection come alive, while patented Adaptive Bass Linearization technology delivers rich bass tones. .

Other hardware details include wireless connectivity which is a snap to use, letting you stream audio via AirPlay or DLNA. Packing a couple of 0.75” tweeters and an equal number of 3” midrange units, all four are driven by separate 80-watt class D amplifiers. Of course, it comes with a price that keeps in step with other Bang & Olufsen products, and that would mean being expensive. After all, we are looking at a $2,699 price point here. [Press Release]
