Ah, there is nothing quite like the Doom franchise to bring back those memories when I was a wee lad, and my 486DX crashed in the “Icon of Sin” level because there were just too many monsters being spawned that all 4MB (yes, can you believe that?) RAM and 640k base memory were used up. Well, those who have a penchant for all things Doom, you might be interested to hear that Doom 3: BFG Edition is now available Stateside on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, while our friends living across the pond can get theirs on Friday.

Doom 3: BFG Edition will carry the original versions Doom and Doom 2 in addition to the re-mastered versions of Doom 3, not to mention a Resurrection of Evil add-on pack. Heck, there will even be eight unreleased Doom 3 in The Lost Mission. Definitely a walk down memory lane, and you might want to play with all the lights turned off just for old times’ sake. Say “Hi” to the Cyberdemon for me!
