Back in September we speculated that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean would begin rolling out to HTC One X users come October. Well if you own the HTC One X or the One S you’re in luck as spotted in the press release of the HTC One X+, it seems that HTC has rather quietly, but officially, announced that both the HTC One X and the One S will be receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update later this month. The update will also introduce the HTC Sense 4+ UI that will be shipped with the One X+. No specific release dates for the update were mentioned, although we suspect that this is probably due to different regions receiving the update at different time, like the US for example where phone updates have to pass through the carrier’s inspection and approval first before being pushed out to customers. In any case we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for news of the update, or if you have begun receiving the update for your HTC One X or One S, drop us a comment or an email and we’ll gladly pass that news along to the rest of our readers!
