Towards the end of October, photos of the Sony C6603 “Yuga” were spotted. Unfortunately those photos only gave us a partial glimpse of the device, but thanks to the folks at Android Schweiz, they have managed to get their hands on more photos of the Yuga, showing off the handset in all of its glory. Now based on what we can see, it looks like the current photos and the previous photos are similar which at the very least provides a degree of consistency. It also appears that with the Yuga, Sony will be taking a departure from their traditional design seen in previous Xperia devices.

Assuming that these photos are true, it seems that we can expect the Yuga to feature a unibody design along with a glass backing, similar to the iPhone 4/4S. The rumored specs indicate that we can also expect to find a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, a 12MP camera, and a 5” 1080p Full HD display. Photos of the device have also revealed that it is running on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, although we wouldn’t be surprised if it was upgraded to Android 4.2 upon its release.

No word on when the Yuga will be released, but so far based on its specs, it certainly sounds promising. Now we’ve come across our fair share of alleged leaks and rumors in the past, some of which are completely bogus and were hoaxes, while some actually panned out. In any case we suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now along with a dose of skepticism, but do check back with us later where hopefully we will have more details to share.
