We’re not sure if this will be enough to draw customers back to the Blackberry platform, or perhaps it’s a reward to the loyal Blackberry customers, but it seems that in India, Blackberry stores are reportedly giving away free microSD cards to customers who purchase brand new Blackberry devices. This 4GB microSD card will come preloaded with two movies that customers will be able to choose from, and this offer is rumored to end of the 31st of January which is when around that time that the Blackberry 10 platform is officially announced. Like we said earlier we’re not sure what the goal here is – perhaps Blackberry India is trying to unload remaining stock before Blackberry 10 hits the market, or perhaps it’s a way to reward the India market where Blackberry sales have remained pretty strong. No word on whether this offer will be making its way to the rest of the world, but would you be tempted to get a Blackberry device for the free microSD card and free movies?
