Now that’s a turn up for the books! GoPro is announcing on Twitter that its GoPro app is now available on Android. The GoPro app for Android offers “full control of camera settings and remote viewfinder/ preview.” Users can finally control their GoPro camera remotely. The app also gives access to GoPro’s Photo of the Day and Video of the Day channels for users to keep in touch with other GoPro owners around the world.

The app is free, however, GoPro says that the app is only compatible with Wi-Fi BacPac-enabled HD HERO2 cameras, at least for now. GoPro app works with older Android versions but the company notes that users might experience inconsistent video streaming frame rates because of the OS version. To experience the full benefits of the GoPro app, devices running 4.0 and above are highly recommended. You can get the app here.
