So you are still rocking to an old school (I guess you can classify this particular console as such now) Nintendo Wii, while the next generation Nintendo Wii U is being prepared for a holiday release? Fret not, there will still be plenty of support offered for the Nintendo Wii, and here we are with word that the official YouTube app for the Nintendo Wii has just been released. This specially optimized YouTube app was designed for big screen action and to work with the Wii Remote seamlessly. Those living in the US are able to download the app today from the Nintendo Wii Shop Channel, while folks living in other countries will just have to play the waiting game and be patient, at least for the coming months.

You can sign on YouTube to find the channels you’re subscribed to, and with the Wiimote, it is a snap to flip through the various categories such as Gaming, Music, and trending videos among others. Not only that, you are able to view other kinds of shows and channels that you love on YouTube, such as The Book Club from YOMYOMF Network or the official Nintendo Wii YouTube channel.
