Sure, using Skype to keep in touch with family and friends has been one of the more popular ways since the explosion of VoIP programs, but we do know that not everyone knows how to use Skype on a computer to carry out Skype-to-Skype conversations, so sometimes, if you want to keep in touch with family and friends far and near over their mobile phones or landlines, you can always use Skype Credit to make that call. Since the Yuletide season is upon us very, very soon (you would be surprised to see just how fast time creeps up on you), why not give a gift that is practical – and yet won’t be frittered away over a bottle of booze?

I’m referring to Skype Gift Cards here, where the U.S., Skype Gift Cards will be available at select retail locations including Microsoft Stores, Target and OfficeMax. You can also opt to pick up e-Gift Cards which can be delivered online to your friends and family, thanks to the Skype Shop and on Skype’s Facebook page from $10 onward.
