While there are other manufacturers apart from Nokia that manufacture Windows Phone devices, given the close relationship between Nokia and Microsoft, the Finnish company has been given some flexibility when it comes to customizing the Windows Phone platform, such as including apps exclusive to its Lumia range of handsets. While we’re not sure of the details yet, a tweet from Nokia App Highlights has suggested that even though Instagram has yet to make its way onto the platform, a special and possibly exclusive version of the app could be arriving on Lumia devices in the near future. Like we said details are scarce at the moment, so could it mean that Instagram will be a Nokia Lumia exclusive, or will Instagram for Windows Phone be different for Lumia devices? Either way our curiosity has certainly been piqued, so check back with us at a later date for the details.
