The problem with purchasing second hand gadgets is that you never know if its previous owner did their due diligence by making sure to delete all their data before reselling it. Some might have forgotten, some can’t be bothered, while some assume it is the duty of the reseller to do it for them. In any case according to a report on 9News, it seems that a five year old kid got more than he bargained for when he launched his Nintendo 3DS which he received as a Christmas present this year. Yup it seems that the previous owner forgot to delete their stash of porn (nine images to be exact) when he/she sold it to Gamestop, where the retailer forgot to check its contents before putting it up for sale themselves. The retailer has since apologized to the family and in return they have received a brand new porn-free Nintendo 3DS.
