Good news HTC One S owners, if you own the global variant of the handset, you might be pleased to learn that the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update is reportedly making its way onto your handset. The update was said to be pegged for a release sometime in October, but given that it’s only rolling out now, we guess it was late. Then again we guess better late than never, plus it seems like a great way to end 2012, doesn’t it? Unfortunately this update appears to be available only for the global version of the One S, which means that those of you who own a carrier-locked version of the HTC One S in the US, well you guys might have to wait since updates will need to be carrier-approved before being pushed out. If you own the global HTC One S but have yet to receive the notification, be patient as we’re sure the update is being rolled out in batches, but in the mean time you can always try pulling it manually by checking your phone for updates in the Settings menu. If you have received it, let us know in the comments below.
