If you own the original ASUS Transformer Pad tablet and haven’t upgraded to a newer tablet, or perhaps you have it lying around somewhere, you might be interested to learn that a developer has managed to port Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean onto the tablet, bringing with it some of Jelly Bean’s highly anticipated features in the process, such as new camera features, the Jelly Bean keyboard, extended quick toggles and more. Unsurprisingly it seems that this port is still in its early stages of development which means that it’s most definitely not intended to be your daily driver, and that there are a ton of bugs to be expected and a lot of features that aren’t working. However if you’re curious as to how it might run, or perhaps you’re experienced enough to flash it onto your tablet and provide feedback to its developer, you can head on over to the XDA forums for the download. Once again we advise that you proceed at your own risk and that it’s always a good idea to back up your data in the event something goes horribly wrong.
