The Google Nexus 7 is a pretty affordable tablet, but even then we’re sure that at its given price, there are some who might still find it a little pricier than they would like. Now there have been plenty of rumors suggesting that a $99 Nexus 7 tablet by ASUS could be in the works, and evidence has shown that such a device exists through benchmarks, although the latest piece of evidence comes from a photo recently uploaded onto Picasa from an ASUS account, revealing the ME172V. This is thanks to the EXIF data which revealed the model number, and given that the Nexus 7 has the model ME370T, some are speculating that the $99 tablet might be the ME172V. This is by no means a confirmation, but at the very least we know that a certain ME172V device exists. Some are speculating that Google/ASUS will take the opportunity at CES to unveil this $99 tablet, and given that we will be on site, be sure to check back with us then for the details! Until then what do you guys think of a $99 Nexus 7 tablet?
