When Apple first introduced the Notification Center, many people probably rolled their eyes because this was a feature that Android had for quite a while. Regardless it was certainly a big improvement over the old way which Apple used to notify iOS users, and now it looks like Samsung has plans to sue Apple over it. According to a South Korean news website, they are claiming in Samsung has launched a lawsuit in South Korea against Apple, claiming that the Cupertino company’s Notification Center infringed upon their patent. Considering that Notification Center is more similar to Google’s “Status Bar” feature for Android, we’re not sure if Samsung has accused Apple on behalf of Google, or if there is some element of Notification Center that Samsung thinks they own. In any case we’ll be keeping an eye on this and we have to wonder if Samsung will be taking this lawsuit to other regions as well.
