We know that T-Mobile was supposed to roll out the Portico software update for the HTC 8X yesterday, but it seems that only hours before the update was scheduled to roll out that T-Mobile has decided to pull the plug at the very last minute. According to the T-Mobile rep who posted the statement on the carrier’s forums, the reason for the delay was because they wanted to “perform some tweaks”. Usually updates that are pulled last minute or delayed are due to bugs that could potentially break the operating system, but we guess that’s all we have to go on for now. Unfortunately T-Mobile neglected to mention a new date for the update, but we guess that’s not a bad thing because the last thing we need is a release date which won’t be met. In the meantime we guess HTC 8X owners on T-Mobile’s network will just have to wait this one out – anyone else disappointed by this delay?
