A little over a week ago we reported that the folks at VLC had launched a Kickstarter project in which they were hoping to get funded for a Windows 8 version of VLC, and at the same time possibly get VLC up and running for Windows RT tablets as well. With 10 days to go, the team has yet to meet their funding goal, so perhaps in an effort to help users of VLC see the benefits of a Metro-based VLC client, they have uploaded mockups of how VLC could look like on Windows 8 and RT tablets. The mockup was created by Ashraful Sheikh and we have to admit it looks pretty slick. They say that this isn’t the final product, but it is a good idea of what users of the application can expect. If you like what you see and would like to donate to VLC’s Kickstarter project, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details and additional mockups. Have you donated to VLC yet?
