Nokia did announce that they will be introducing updates to their hot selling Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones in the US with their very own software update which many have come to call, Portico. Well, it is nice to know what you are getting underneath the proverbial hood with Portico, and Microsoft did everyone a favor by posting up the release notes for “Portico” on its Windows Phone 8 update history page. If you have performed the update, then the actual version number for the update would be bumped to 8.0.10211.204, and sporting one of the largest improvements in this update would be its messaging feature.

According to Microsoft, “You can now add multiple recipients at the same time when you send a text message and automatically save unsent text messages as drafts. You can even edit received text messages before you forward them.”

Not only that, you can also create a pre-written text reply to a caller, and the WiFi will also boast of the ability to put your most used WiFi connections up front depending on the connection history of the device. We await with bated breath as to when the other Windows Phone 8-powered smartphones by Nokia and HTC will be on the receiving end of the Portico update.
