About a week ago we reported that images of the ZTE Nubia Z5 was leaked, and for those who missed the news, this is basically ZTE’s take on the phablet scene with a 5” offering of their own. The handset is said to be hitting the Chinese market sometime this week, although no word on if and when it will make its way to other markets around the world. While that remains to be seen, it looks like ZTE might have another high-end handset to show off at CES next year. This is according to ZTE’s new global chief designer, Hagen Fendler, although he declined to be more specific about the device. Now if you’re thinking that this might just be the international variant of the Nubia Z5, you would be wrong. Fendler suggested that this high-end device is separate from the Nubia brand which means we could be looking at a brand new device. The ZTE Nubia Z5 sports pretty decent hardware under its hood, so we can only imagine that this high-end device will most definitely be taking the cake. Either way we’ll be on site during CES 2013, so be sure to check back with us then for the updates!
