[CES 2013] It looks like the phablet is most definitely here to stay and Alcatel wants to hop aboard that bandwagon as well. Granted Alcatel probably isn’t the first name that comes to mind with regards to Android smartphones (they might have had their moment in the sun back when feature phones were popular), but they are certainly trying their best and with the introduction of the Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD, perhaps they might be able to lure some customers over to their side. So what can you expect from Alcatel’s take on the phablet? For starters you can expect to find a 5” IPS HD display, and under the hood the One Touch Scribe HD will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor accompanied by 1GB of RAM. It will also come with an 8MP rear-facing camera, a front-facing HD camera and will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. If you’re interested in owning a phablet that does not break the bank, the Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD is expected to retail for about $397 and will be making its way into the US market come Q2 2013 and will be available in a variety of colors.
