Japan tends to get the kind of devices that other countries do not, and that is partly due to the unique networks that they have there which remain exclusive to their own geographical location, and sometimes, it is just that other markets are not quite ready for different kinds of devices. Case in point, the Geanee tablet that you see above.

Basically, this Geanee tablet is an Android-powered device that runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as the operating system of choice, where it will also be waterproof up to half an hour, with an IPX7 rating which translates to being submerged to up to 1 meter of water within the mentioned time period.

Running the show underneath the hood lies a Boxchip A10 Cortex A8 processor (up to 1.5GHz) and a Mali-400 2D/3D OPEN GL GPU and 2160P VPU, accompanied by 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi connectivity, a 7″ display at 800 × 480 resolution and HDMI out. It should retail for somewhere in the region of $170 after conversion.
