Back in December 2012, it was hinted that Final Fantasy V “and more” could be ported onto iOS. This followed the release of Final Fantasy IV on iOS and towards the end of the trailer, the teaser was revealed. Now Square Enix has since set up a teaser website where sprite outlines and a date (17th January) was revealed. According to Siliconera, the sprite outlines are that of the Behemoth from Final Fantasy VI along with possible character sprites from Final Fantasy V, suggesting that perhaps an announcement of some sort could be taking place on the 17th. Given that both games have already been launched for their respective platforms, and the teaser released by Square Enix in 2012, we guess we wouldn’t be surprised if the announcement had to do with Final Fantasy V and VI being released, or at least getting a release date for iOS. Either way with 17th of January only a couple of days away, we guess we won’t have to wait long to find out. In the meantime who else is excited by this?
