The upcoming Tomb Raider game that is developed by Crystal Dynamics will arrive with multiplayer capability after all, as the developer had confirmed this on Eidos’ forums. The reason that this is happening is because Deus Ex: Revolution studio Eidos Montreal are the ones behind the multiplayer segment of Lara Croft’s latest adrenaline pumping adventure. GAME was the first to carry whispers of different “multiplayer modes” being made available on the upcoming Lara Croft adventure, but that description was quickly taken down from the UK retailer’s website. Guess the confirmation today from the horse’s mouth has made sure that you needn’t put a pinch of salt in your mouth earlier on with GAME’s revelation. More details concerning the multiplayer segment of Tomb Raider will be revealed later this month.

Crystal Dynamics’ community manager Meagan Marie said, “Very exciting news to (finally) confirm to you guys! Lara’s on the February cover of OXM, paired with a big announcement. Tomb Raider will include a multiplayer offering thanks to the hard work of our sister-studio, the hugely talented Eidos Montreal. The team at Eidos Montreal has been working away at the multiplayer while we focused everything on the single-player offering.“
