Considering that we need to use our eyes in order to frame our shots and snap a great photo, you wouldn’t be blamed if you thought it was impossible for a blind person to take photos, let alone take photos and apply Instagram filters to it at the same time! However that is exactly what Tommy Edison did, and he even recorded a video of himself doing it. Basically how he manages to capture Instagram photos despite not being able to see is thanks to the iPhone’s voiceover accessibility feature, which allows him to add Instagram filters to his photographs via the voice prompts. He then uses Siri to narrate a description of the photo before finally uploading it to Instagram’s website or other social networking sites. It’s actually a pretty interesting process and the way he goes about handling his iPhone, snapping photos and adding filters with Instagram will almost make you forget about the fact that he’s blind. Either way it’s pretty cool and if you’ve got a couple of minutes to spare, you might want to check the video out.
