Following the release of Windows Phone 7.8 SDK last week, here we are with the news that Nokia is officially rolling out the Windows Phone 7.8 update to its users. This means that Windows Phone 7.5 devices will finally get new personalization features, such as the ability to resize tiles, test out the new lock screen options, and select from more theme colors. Apart from those features, Windows Phone 7.8 also brings Internet sharing, Bluetooth sharing, imaging enhancements like Camera Extras, and the release of apps such as Contact Share, Play To and Nokia City Lens.

Users from other countries will also love the update because of its increased language support. The Windows Phone 7.8 update is rolling out to Nokia Lumia smartphones beginning today until February. However, note that the delivery will depend on your operator. You can manually check the update by going to your phone’s settings. To download the update, just connect your phone to your computer via Zune for PC, or the Windows Phone app for Mac. “Starting today and rolling out over the coming weeks, a message will appear on the phone encouraging users to get the update,” Nokia said.
