If you happen to be working on a tight budget each month, but are seriously in need to a spanking new smartphone because you accidentally dropped your last handset into the toilet bowl and have it swim with the fishes, then Acer might have a possible solution for you, with the bank account friendly Acer Liquid Z2. Touted to cost you anywhere from 100 to 130 Euros when it is released as an unlocked device in Europe, the Acer Liquid Z2 will at least be powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice – meaning, you need not fret about not being able to enjoy Project Butter and its smooth interface.

As for the other features in the Acer Liquid Z2, they are functional at best, with a 3.5-inch HVGA display to greet your eyes, accompanied by a rear facing camera, 512MB RAM, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, A-GPS support, an FM radio, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and SRS Sound. No idea on whether it will make it across the pond after its European release.
