Back in the day of feature phones, companies like Nokia and Samsung were going all out trying to make the smallest/slimmest phones possible. That has certainly changed when phones these days usually equate to the bigger the better. While that might be true for smartphones, accessories might be a different story as LG has unveiled what they are claiming to be the world’s smallest wireless charger. Dubbed the WCP-300, this charger will charge up any Qi compatible devices, such as Google’s Nexus 4, or LG’s own Optimus G Pro, Vu II and LTE II.
While wireless chargers still need to be connected to a power source and have the device placed on top of it to charge, hopefully the WCP-300’s small footprint will appeal to those who find that current generation wireless chargers/charging mats take up a bit too much desk space. LG will be rolling out the WCP-300 to countries around the world eventually, but for now South Korea will be getting their hands on it first. It will cost around 65,000 Won which is roughly $60, but that price might be different for your region. [Press release]
