For the Apple fans out there, we’re sure that many of you guys know that Foxconn is the company that helps with the manufacturing process of Apple’s iPhone. However if the rumored low-cost iPhone is true, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple will be diversifying their manufacturers and tap Pegatron for their manufacturing needs. Kuo stated in his report that he believes that Pegatron could be used by Apple to help manufacture the rumored low-cost iPhone, and on top of that, Apple could also be looking to shift production of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S to Pegatron as well.

Foxconn will of course remain Apple’s main manufacturer and are expected to play a big part in manufacturing future Apple devices, like the iPhone 5S for instance, as well as continue production of the iPhone 5. Hopefully what this means is that if and when the iPhone 5S launches along with the rumored low-cost iPhone, the diversification of manufacturers would mean that resources would be spread out more efficiently and not cause any unnecessary delays.
