We’re not sure how many of you guys grew up with an Atari gaming system, but if you have then perhaps this Atari iPhone speaker dock might be able to rekindle some fond memories. As its name implies, this is a speaker dock made using an Atari 2600 unit. The unit itself was no longer working but instead of relegating it to the trash pile, Peter Morris decided to give it a new lease on life by transforming it into a somewhat modern speaker dock. As it stands it appears to be compatible with iPhone devices with the 30-pin dock connector, but Morris has stated that he will be able to make it compatible with the iPhone 5 as well.

It will feature 6 EQ settings, FM radio and a remote control. It will also come with a line-in port so that non-iPhone users will be able to plug in as well. Unfortunately there is only 1 unit available and it is priced around $230, so if you think that this sounds like your cup of tea, you best hurry before it is sold out! More details, photos and the option to purchase can be found on Morris’ Etsy page.
