Earlier this morning, we mentioned about how Nintendo has their Pikachu edition of the Nintendo 3DS XL, and just like clockwork (or the joy that you feel when a rare Pokemon appears), so too, has Nintendo officially announced the Pikachu Edition Nintendo 3DS XL that will be made available to the masses this coming March 24.

Sporting a bold yellow color, everything else about this Pikachu Edition Nintendo 3DS XL in terms of hardware will remain the same, other than the external physical difference that boasts of the familiar outline of the iconic electric Pokémon. Each $199.99 purchase will be accompanied by a 4GB SD memory card, which will be available while stocks last. Oh, and since you might want to get a game to go along with your spanking new handheld console, how about picking up a copy of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity as it will launch on the same day as the Pikachu Edition Nintendo 3DS XL? Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will set you back by another $34.99 just in case you were wondering, but if the Pokemon games’ track record in the past is anything to go by, it would be more than worth every penny you forked out for it.
