Square Enix’s Tomb Raider was released yesterday across multiple platforms, that is, except for the Wii U. If you picked up a copy of the game yesterday, you probably haven’t even thought about touching its multiplayer modes as we’re sure you’re dying to know what exactly is going on with Lara Croft in this game that makes her always look so beat up. But that isn’t stopping Square Enix from announcing its first multiplayer map pack.

Tomb Raider will be receiving its first multiplayer map pack called “Caves and Cliffs” which introduces three new multiplayer maps exclusively on the Xbox 360 on March 19. Each of the three maps in this pack will be playable within all four of Tomb Raider’s multiplayer game modes and their names and descriptions follow:

  • Scavenger Caverns – An extensive subterranean network of caves used by the island’s scavengers as an underground prison
  • Cliff Shantytown – This scavenger settlement was built high up on the island cliffs. Its many layers hide some of the deadliest traps on the island
  • The Burning Village – A raging fire has embraced an abandoned Japanese village, the burning buildings offer multiple ways to escape or engage your enemies

The Caves and Cliffs Multiplayer Map Pack will be available first on the Xbox 360 on March 19 for 400 Microsoft Points ($5). No word yet when the multiplayer map pack will be made available for PS3 & PC players.
