xbox-720-early-april-unveilingAccording to a report we made last week, rumor had it that the Microsoft Xbox 720 would be unveiled in May, and according to Paul Thurrott, that date in May is set for the 21st, and according to the folks at The Verge, they have also learned that the 21st of May date to be accurate. While the date cannot be confirmed, it has been acknowledged that this is the tentative date set out by Microsoft. It has also been revealed by sources “familiar with the matter” that the Xbox 720 event will be held at a small venue and will focus on providing details about the console, as well as Microsoft’s plans for it in the year 2013. At this point we’re not sure what they mean, could it be that Microsoft is planning something similar to Sony’s PlayStation 4 event where they will only announce the console, detail its features and save the full reveal for later, E3 perhaps? We can’t say for sure, but if the 21st of May date is true, Xbox fans will probably want to mark that down on their calendars.
