nokia-catwalk-2

We’ve been seeing a number of leaks this week for Nokia’s upcoming Lumia 928, which is currently codenamed Catwalk, as we’ve seen Verizon-branded parts as well as actual leaked images of the device. Now it looks like Nokia themselves have hinted at the upcoming Lumia 928 today.

Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said today during an earnings call with investors “later this quarter, a new Lumia device is anticipated to have hero status with a leading US carrier” and the new Lumia will “mark the beginning of a season of new product introductions.” This isn’t the first time Elop has teased the Lumia 928 as we believe he was eluding to the device when he said “beautiful phones” were incoming.

Considering Elop said the new Lumia should be launching “later this quarter,” that very well means we can expect to be hearing something before summer officially kicks off. Which means you can probably expect whatever Nokia is expecting to announce to be in your pocket for all of your summer adventures.
