xperia-tablet-z

Back last month we reported that the release date of Sony Xperia Tablet Z had been pushed back till May. Sony seems to be on track with that release date, as it has now started taking pre-orders for the Xperia Tablet Z. Those who pre-order a 32GB unit in White directly from Sony between now and May 24, they’ll receive a cradle for their tablet free of charge.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a water and dust proof device that has a S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM, a 10.1″ 1920×1200 display, a 6,000 mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The 16GB model carries a price tag of $500 and the 32GB one can be purchased for just $100 more. There’s an SD card slot on board for those who need external memory expansion. Last month Sony started taking pre-orders for this tablet in the U.K. but it missed out on its April release time frame. Hopefully there won’t be any shipping delays on this side of the pond. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z can be pre-ordered in the U.S. from Sony’s online store.
