nexus7-bluetoothHmmm, now this is an interesting bit of news – it seems that the Asus Nexus 7 still has some miles left in its legs, considering the fact that it has been recently re-certified by the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group), where it now boasts of a new build number of JWR11. It is notable to note that this model number the exact same one as the current version of the Nexus 7, so you can make your own deductions that this is absolutely not the rumored Nexus 7 refresh that many folks have been keeping their fingers crossed for.

I guess what we are looking at here is most probably the very same Asus Nexus 7 that everyone has come to know and love, although it will be powered by a software build which no one else outside of Google and Asus has managed to get their hands on. Could it be that it will run on Android 4.3, which might point to the possibility of obtaining re-certification with the Bluetooth SIG? After all, whispers have it that Android 4.3 will bring support for low-energy Bluetooth 4.0, so that might be the case to trigger the re-certification clause.
