Google and Apple might not be the best of friends at the moment, but this does not mean that they have severed all ties with one another. Google’s range of apps and services on the iOS platform are still an integral part of the overall experience, and hence it is interesting to note that Google+ for iOS has just received an updated that will see the inclusion of Auto-Awesome, hashtags, Google Offers, and a slew of other features.
Some of these features were paraded at Google I/O, where among them include “Auto-Awesome”, smarter hashtags, and Google Offers integration. Version 4.4.0 can be downloaded for free from the App Store, and it will finally allow the iOS version to catch up with the Android version. Animated GIFs (watch out for its pronunciation!) will now be included as well in the updated application, in addition to panorama shots of course. If you want to include hashtags into the posts, you can also do so, while Google Offers will be integrated into users’ G+ stream. It is a no brainer that this latest update would clearly make it the best Google+ experience on iOS to date.
