nes_controller_night_light_1There’s something about the Nintendo NES gaming system that strikes a chord with many a gamer, especially the more old school ones who actually grew up playing the console. Well if you’re such a gamer and you’re looking for some NES accessories to remind you of the good old days, how about a NES controller night light? As you can see in the image above, the NES controller night light is more of a DIY project which was put together by lonesoulsurfer. It basically takes an old NES controller that has been outlined with LEDs, and placed into a clear resin shell where the LEDs can shine through it. If you’re wondering how it works, well instead of using the buttons on the controller to activate the lights, you’d have to tilt it where tilting it a few times will switch modes, allowing the device to blink in several different ways. It’s actually pretty cool and if you’d like to learn how to make one yourself, detailed instructions can be found on lonesoulsurfer’s Instructables’ page.
