iphone-5-inch-screen-analystWord on the street has it that Apple could be planning a more affordable iPhone to enter into emerging markets with a phone that could cost around $300-$500. While those are merely rumors for now, the folks at ETrade Supplyare claiming that they can now “confirm” that such a device exists and could be released in the near future. ETrade Supply is a spare parts website for mobile phones and other gadgets, and they have been pretty spot on when it comes to releasing components which turned out to be parts belonging to the iPhone 5.

According to them, the reason behind the release of the affordable iPhone is to capitalize on emerging markets and keep the iPhone brand relevant while they develop their next game-changing iPhone, presumably the iPhone 6. Many rightfully assume that the next iPhone would be the iPhone 5S which is expected to feature slight improvements, and will presumably be the model to tide some customers over until the iPhone 6, which is why this report is a little convoluted

Of course since Apple has not confirmed anything, it should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Does a budget iPhone really exist?
