We’ve seen many creative ways in which alarm clocks and alarm clock apps have been designed to make sure that the user actually wakes up instead of hitting the snooze button and fall back asleep. In this case we are looking at the Wake Alarm app that actually requires the user to perform some physical actions in order to turn the phone’s alarm off. There are several different modes of alarms that the user can set, ranging from the light sleeper where a slight tap on the phone is needed to turn off the alarm, to simply flipping the phone onto its screen, and to the extremely heavy sleeper where the user is required to shake the phone vigorously for a while just to turn it off. The app features 8 repeatable alarms and 12 built-in alarm sounds and can be downloaded via the iTunes App Store for $1.99.
