acer-iconia-w3-windows8-tablet--04Last week Acer took the wraps off their new Windows 8 tablet, the Acer Iconia W3. If you were impressed with the tablet’s specs and you wouldn’t mind getting your hands on it, it looks like retailers such as Staples and Amazon are now taking pre-orders for the device. The 32GB model of the Iconia W3 will be priced at $379.99, while Amazon has priced the 64GB model at $429.99. The tablet is also expected to ship between the 15th and 17th of June, so if you order now, you will probably get it in the next week or two.

A quick recap for those hearing about the tablet for the first time, the Acer Iconia W3 is an 8.1” 1280×800 Windows 8 tablet. It will be powered by Intel’s Atom dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, with the ability to be overclocked to 1.8GHz should the user require additional processing power. It will also come with 2GB of RAM and a 2MP camera. For those interested, you can place a pre-order on either Amazon or Staples’ website.
