Huawei Ascend w2It was just the other day that we spotted a render of Huawei’s take on Windows Phone, the Ascend W2, and now thanks to @evleaks, a new render of the device was spotted except that instead of blue, the Ascend W2 can be seen above in a rather striking yellow finish. We’re not sure if this was Huawei’s plan or if it’s some kind of suggestion by Microsoft, but there seems to be a lot of Windows Phone devices that are following in Nokia’s footsteps of releasing colorful devices, although we have to admit it does help them to stand out.

In any case no word on when the Ascend W2 will be announced, but in terms of hardware, this is what the rumors are saying for now. The phone is expected to sport a 4.3” 1280×720 HD display with an 8MP rear-facing camera, Full HD video recording support, and will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core chipset. Either way we’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more information regarding its launch, so stay tuned! In the meantime who else is digging the yellow finish?
