It hasn’t been long since Apple proudly unveiled iOS 7. After its announcement, Apple seeded the first beta to developers. An iOS 7 lock screen security bug has already been discovered. Anyone who knows how to exploit this bug can easily get full access to an iOS 7 device’s photos with the ability to email, upload, tweet or even delete pictures stored on it.

By pulling up Control Center on the lockscreen and launching the calculator app before camera app, one can get unadulterated access to a device’s photos. While this is just a beta version that is available only for developers, lock screen bugs have previously been found in publicly released iOS 6 updates. Since this has been discovered in the first beta of iOS 7, Apple is likely to fix it in the next beta. This is the whole point of first seeding firmware to developers before releasing it to the public, the company gets bug reports from developers while it too works to make the software as flawless as possible. The public release of iOS 7 is slated for this fall, it will probably come around the time Apple releases its next generation iPhone.
