sprint-lg-optimus-f3

Last month a rendered image of LG Optimus F3 for Sprint popped up online. LG announced the F series of smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2013. The company aims to bring LTE connectivity to the masses with these affordable smartphones. @Evleaks on Twitter has posted what apparently is a leaked press shot of this device, confirming previous rumors that the device is indeed coming over to Sprint.

The LG Optimus F3 is said to have a dualcore processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and a 4 inch WVGA display. It was rumored last month that Sprint will launch this device in the coming weeks and that the Optimus F3 will be “aggressively” priced on contract. There’s still no confirmation on when Sprint intends on announcing this device. Apart from touting the purple hue and showing off the textured back, the press shot also shows June 24th as the date on the device’s display. Can this be a subtle hint about the release date? We can’t say for sure, but we’ll keep an eye out. Sprint was previously rumored to announce it towards the end of May.
