This particular update would see the introduction of additional bug fixes, where those who are interested will be able to grab hold of version 3.0.2.0 over at the Store. Do bear in mind that your Store notification might not show it, but that does not mean the link does not work.
The official SkyDrive app for Windows Phone has one main function, that is, to assist users in managing their SkyDrive, while mirroring the Windows 8 version of the app without batting an eyelid, so that users will be able to gain a whole lot of control over their storage as well as having the ability to share links in a jiffy. While this particular update will not see the introduction of new features and user interface changes, it should be able to solve all niggling bugs that bothered you in the past.
