wow_take2.0_cinema_960.0We’ve been hearing about the World of Warcraft movie for just about forever now, and with all the hype, we really have to wonder if the actual movie itself will be able to live up to it, or become a flop which seems to be a common theme following many game-based movies these days. Well the good news for those wondering if the World of Warcraft movie will be actually realized, you might be pleased to learn that the movie will begin shooting in 2014. This is according to the film’s producer, Charles Roven, who spokes to the folks at SlashFilm.

Roven was quoted as saying that the shooting will begin in the first quarter of 2014 which will be directed by Duncan Jones, whom for those unfamiliar, was the director behind movies such as Moon and Source Code. The cast and story remain unknown for now, but what else we do know is that the visual arts supervisor from the Life of Pi movie will also be part of the World of Warcraft movie, along with Charles Leavitt who would be writing the screenplay. All of this sounds good and we have to say we are pretty excited to see how this will turn out. Anyone care to venture a guess?
