Call of Duty fans are probably currently enjoying the latest piece of downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 while keeping an eye on any bit of news for the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts. But we’re now hearing rumors of the next next Call of Duty game.
The rumor of Activision’s next Call of Duty title was unearthed thanks to a Sledgehammer Games’ employee. The company’s senior VFX artist Rob Valdivia listed the next entry into the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series through his LinkedIn profile, which follows confirmation the studio isn’t involved in Call of Duty: Ghosts, but instead working on its own project. Valdivia’s LinkedIn profile had contained the following information in his summary, which has since been taken down:
“I work at Sledgehammer Games where I’m responsible for developing photo real visual effects for the next Call of Duty – Modern Warfare release.”
This doesn’t yet confirm the next next Call of Duty game will be a new Modern Warfare game as Valdivia could possibly be making an assumption on what the title of the next Call of Duty game would be since Sledgehammer has been rumored to have started working on the game just this past May.
