newmapsGoogle is not a company that rests on their laurels, and having revealed a new bunch of maps user interface for both desktop and mobile platforms in May this year, it seems that the long awaited update has started to slowly but surely roll out for Android 4.0.3+ devices (Ice Cream Sandwich and newer). It seems that this new version is said to deliver a more personalized experience, and the changelog did reveal additional navigation data with “live traffic updates, incident reports and dynamic rerouting.”

Apart from that, ratings, reviews and other information have also been brought forward in order to assist users (especially new ones) to discover more concerning local places of interest, while those who use Google Maps on tablet devices will be able to enjoy an “Experience” feature, where it ought to deliver enhanced indoor walkthroughs. It is said to take a few weeks to roll out this particular update completely to Android 4.0.3+ users, so if you have not yet gotten your software updated, fret not – patience and due time will make everything peachy keen.
