Usually video games casts you in the light of the hero, or savior if you’d rather, but in the case of Halfbrick Studios’ (Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride) latest game, Colossatron: Massive World Threat, you instead take on the role of the bad guy, a giant space alien robot that attempts to cause as much destruction and mayhem as possible while surviving the army’s attempts at bringing you down. Your score will be calculated in dollar value, as in how much damage you have caused in terms of dollars. Players will be able to collect Powernodes, weapons, and abilities which ultimately will allow them to unleash as much destruction to their heart’s content. According to Halfbrick, the game is expected to be released “soon” and while it does appear to be playable on iOS devices, there was no specific mention if other platforms such as Android, Windows Phone or BlackBerry 10 would be supported. In any case if you’d like to see the game in action, you can check out the trailer in the video above.
