new-nexus-1

Google is all set to announce the new Nexus 7 2 tablet later today, they already have an event scheduled. However there’s not much that is left to know about this device, considering the fact that there have already been a plethora of leaks from pretty solid sources. We’ve previously covered press renders that showed off the new stock wallpaper of what presumably is Android 4.3. A retail version of the Nexus 7 2 has leaked ahead of its official announcement, so now you get to feast your eyes on not only the retail packaging, but the device itself without any skepticism whatsoever.

The device looks exactly like the leaked press renders that we covered over the past few days. Changes that are immediately noticeable include a 5 megapixel rear camera and the Nexus logo which has now been flipped on its side. According to the person who sent these images to AndroidPolice, the back of this tablet feels a lot like the Nexus 10. Another rumor has turned out to be true, the new Nexus 7 2 does indeed run Android 4.3, so we can definitely expect Google to announce its next OS update at today’s event.
